Terms and Conditions

Certain items require import permits or approvals before they can legally enter Jamaica. Examples include specific food products, meat, plants, agricultural items, pharmaceuticals, firearms, certain electronic devices, and other regulated goods.

If a shipment arrives in Jamaica without the required permit, the Jamaica Customs Agency may:

Detain the shipment while the necessary permits are obtained;

Refer the goods to the appropriate regulatory authority for inspection or further action;

Assess applicable penalties where required by law; or

In certain circumstances, seize or confiscate the goods if they are imported in breach of the Customs Act or other applicable legislation.

Clear and Ready has no authority to waive permit requirements or secure the release of restricted goods where the required approvals have not been obtained. Any delays, storage charges, penalties, or enforcement action resulting from the absence of the necessary permits remain the responsibility of the importer.

To avoid delays and additional costs, please ensure all required permits are obtained before shipping restricted items to Jamaica.
